Wind Energy Ireland(WEI) (formerly the Irish Wind Energy Association) welcomes the opportunity to make this submission at the draft stage of the review of the Wicklow County Development Plan 2021-2027 (‘draft Plan’). WEI is the representative body for the Irish wind industry, working to promote wind energy as an essential, economic and environmentally friendly part of the country’s low-carbon energy future.
