Chapter 14: Flood Risk Management

The following material alterations are proposed to Chapter 14 –  Flood Risk Management.  The proposed alterations should be read in conjunction with the original draft chapter which can be viewed here.

Section 14.4      Flood Risk Management Objectives

CPO 14.05         To continue to work with the OPW and other agencies to deliver Flood Defence Schemes in the County as identified in current and future FRMPs, in particular:

• Avoca River (Arklow) Flood Defence Scheme;
• Avoca River (Avoca) Flood Defence Scheme;
• Low cost works in accordance with the OPW’s Minor Works Scheme;
• Coastal Protection Projects, where funding allows.

and ensure that development proposals support, and do not impede or prevent, progression of such schemes
